Namibian president elected leader of ruling party with landslide victory

Namibian President Hage Geingob was elected as the president of the ruling SWAPO party with a landslide victory, said the party on Monday morning.

Geingob, now acting president of the ruling party, won 574 out of 766 votes at the Sixth Elective Congress of the SWAPO Party concluded here at the weekend.
