3 dead in mysterious crash with parked lorry
Three people have died in a horrific crash early this morning after their vehicle smashed into a parked lorry...A man suffered serious injuries in the crash on the A2, which police have described as a "serious incident."
Police say three people who were travelling in a black black Mercedes died at the scene.
Their next of kin have been informed, reports Kent Live.
The injured man was taken to a London hospital.
It happened just before 4.20am today on the London-bound carriageway of the A2 near Dunkirk, Kent.
Officers from the serious collision investigation unit are appealing for witnesses and are asking if people have dashcam footage which may assist officers in their investigation.
Helen Whately, MP for Faversham and Mid Kent, has blamed "lorry fly-parking" for the incident in a tweet that has since received a huge backlash.
In a tweet to her 4,000 she wrote: "Saddened and deeply frustrated at news of serious crash involving car running into a parked lorry near Gate Services on the A2.

The road was closed both ways while an investigation took place, though the eastbound carriageway reopened earlier this morning.
The collision occurred on the A2 near Brenley Corner between Junction 7 of the M2 and the A28.
Kent Police has said the incident involved a car and an HGV, but no further details as to what caused the collision have been revealed.There was major traffic disruption all morning and lasting until past 2pm.
The eastbound carriageway reopened just before 11am and the westbound remained closed until just before 2pm.
Lorry fly parking refers to when lorry drivers leave their vehicles in non designated parking spaces like village greens or in lay bys.
