Honda driver hurls abuse at an ambulance crew in the street after deliberately driving slowly in front of them as they tried to answer a 999 call

A furious Honda driver hurled abuse at an ambulance crew after deliberately driving slowly in front of them as they tried to answer a 999 call.

The road rage row erupted after the motorist failed to move out of the way as the ambulance drove through Worcester Park, south London, with its sirens and lights on.

The man is now wanted for questioning by police in relation to the incident, which unfolded on December 27, and officers have released CCTV stills in a bid to track him down.

It is believed the row flared up because the driver thought one of the paramedics swore at him during the earlier slow driving incident.

Police said the crew, one man and one woman, were responding to an emergency call to help an elderly woman suffering from 'an acute illness', in Sutton, south London at around 6.45pm.
The Honda pulled up behind their ambulance and the driver jumped out and berated the medics.

He then got back into his car and drove off towards Kingston upon Thames.

The Metropolitan Police have now released CCTV of the incident in an effort to track down the driver.

He was described as white man, aged in his 40s or 50s and around 5ft 6ins tall and may have been wearing a green jacket, with dark trousers and white trainers.
